Many thanks to those who attended this past weekend's Concert of Colors World Music Festival at the Max Fisher Music Center.  The entertainment was wonderful all weekend long.  What a great way to celebrate diversity!  Thanks to our WHFR volunteer staff who helped make our weekend broadcast of the Diversity Stage performances a success.  Thanks, too, to the great C of C organizers for providing a festival that truly showcased the best of the entire world right here in Detroit.  Can't wait until next year.....!

WHFR Record Show
We will be hosting our first-ever record show on July 26th on the campus of HFCC. All proceeds from this record show will go towards continuing our mission of "Making Waves" here on Detroit's airwaves at 89.3FM, and all over the world through our website, whfr.fm

. WHFR Program Director, Mike Dereniewski, is organizing this record show. Having attended a radio station-sponsored record show in New York City several years ago, Mike was inspired to try to bring that vibe to a show right here in the Detroit area. In addition to, literally, thousands and thousands of records and CDs that vendors will have for sale, this show will feature specialty items never before offered at any Detroit area record shows, including custom made notebooks and jewelry made from recycled records, hand made rock 'n' roll glass night lights, and the "must be seen to be believed" Record Reverser - a device conceptualized right here at WHFR that allows you to play records backwards -perfectly- on most pro turntables!
